My .02, this was caused by the 4 wheeler just back from FL driving like an ##### that ran into the back of a T/T in a snow storm.
If it was that bad the 4W should not have been going that fast and he said it was like a white out besides!

I see it with the snow blowing then being kicked up from the T/T and think it was dark and the 4W had no lights left (batt was killed) how would the driver know anything was back there looking in the mirrors? Being in a lower gear because of speed he may not of felt the "extra" load.
The sad part is the driver of the truck will take the hit for this.

Guess the next time the wife tells the other half to slow down he should listen :yes2557:
    Dave ----

ps: yes glad no one was hurt

Yes, this accident was posted in the ‘trucking news’ forum, yet that person did not posted in the ‘trucking accident’ forum yet I'm not complaining about it.

I do not look in the ‘trucking news’ forum for ‘trucking accidents’ and I only post 'trucking accidents' in the 'trucking accident' forum and I only look in the 'trucking accident' forum for 'tucking accidents.'

And you tell me that its already been posted, and I told you I looked, and did not see it. The reason I did not see it is I do not look in other forums for trucking accidents, I only look in 'trucking accident' forum for 'trucking accidents.'

I try as best I can to post articles in the proper forum and yes, I will probably make mistakes, perhaps many of them.

The post your speaking of is right here, in the trucking news forum.

So if you want to complain about me posting this article in the 'trucking accident' forum because it had already been posted in the 'trucking news' forum I suggest you complain to the 'Staff' of this 'Trucking Forum.'

Yet as I said before, "All is well," if its not please let the 'Staff of this Trucking Forum Know' so they can correct it.

I simply refuse to believe, that the truck would drive and feel like normal with a minivan trapped under the trailer.

When driving on ice and or snow everything would feel a completely different than it would on dry pavement, so it may be true the truck driver could not tell what had taken place at the back of his trailer.

I see your experience is 0 to 1 year, that's probably why you say that, if you had several years along with experience of driving on snow and ice several times you would not have said that.

I'd believe it, in Michigan, especially for the rough roads.

As far as feeling it after the impact, you might, or might not.

Now as to the staff not keeping up with every post, we can't possibly read everything, and if you see another post in a wrong section, report it to us.

We can fix it if we find it soon enough.

What? What? On a slick snowy road it would be very easy to not know, although I can't think of ever hearing about something similiar.

Few years back, I had a car rearend me just as I was letting off the brakes during stop/go rush hour traffic. Only reason I knew he hit me, the truck moved when I released the brakes and it shouldn't have.
