Accident occurred on I-88 near Aurora IL in 2014
He killed a tollway worker, severely injured a State Trooper, had 3 hours sleep in the previous 37 hours. He plows into a tollway workers vehicle, a state troopers vehicle, both of which were helping another broken down 18 wheeler.
The maximum he can get is 3 years in prison. The DA decide not to prosecute for manslaughter, said the way the law is written he couldn't get a conviction. This I don't understand.
This accident is just as bad as the Tracy Morgan accident. The disparity is huge.

Sad to say but Illinois state troopers getting hit by motorist is pretty common. I think during the summer of 2013 one a week was getting hit so they implemented when a trooper pulled over someone 3-4 state troopers would show up to protect the trooper giving the ticket.
