Another one of the reasons I dislike driving on state highways. That intersection seems to have a lot of turning traffic (truck traffic at that) and high speed traveling lanes yet no stop light
Guess what happens next.....?

40 years ago my Dad was at a intersection like that in his pickup and was writing something down on a tablet for work . Inadvertently he let his foot lighten off the brake pedal , consequently he rolled in front of a semi hauling a big oversized dozer coming down the road at 70.
Cut the front of the pickup truck off like a butter knife right at the firewall, than the truck spun and the bed got hooked under the dozer and it ripped the rear section off the pickup. The cab spun around several times and wound up down in a large valley.
Unbelievably he walked out of the cab without a scratch not wearing a seatbelt. He said the good Lord was watching over him that day because if he had entered the road a 1/10 th of a second sooner he wouldn't be here.
When ever I am sitting at a intersection like that I think of what can happen . I don't miss traveling down those types of roads anymore down here.
