    This was at the junction of Hwy 24/81 clear day, dry road, straight section, truck all alone, WTF, had to have fallen asleep? Roadway is now open.

    UPDATE: Kansas Highway Patrol confirms US-81 just north of US-24 is now open following a wreck with a semi truck.

    An accident involving a semi truck has shut down a highway in northern Kansas.
    The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on US-81, 1/2 mile north of US-24 near Cloud County. Troopers responded to assist Cloud County deputies.
    According to the KHP, no one was hurt and the semi was the only vehicle involved. However, the highway will be shut down for several hours while crews work to clear the scene. Northbound traffic must exit at US-24.
    The accident is under investigation.

    Thank god no one was hurt.He either dozed up or went to reach for something.It only takes a split second away from focusing on the road to turn into a major catastrophy.
