This occurred last night near exit 44 on I-70 west near the town of Rostraver. The truck apparently struck a barrier in a construction zone causing the trailer to split open and spill cases of Twizzlers on the roadway. The driver wasn't injured and authorities suspect that foggy conditions may have played a role in the accident.

If I had to vote for the section of road I most dread driving. I-70, New Stanton to about the WV state line would rank up there in my top 5. In fair weather and dry roads it's a pain, add in fog, dense traffic periods, dark, snow/ice, light rain, new traffic patterns at construction zones? It can be a real test of skills and luck.
About half want to drive 55 and the other half 70+, lots of oil field truck traffic, and the blind, short merge lanes. Forget it.NavigatorWife and joesmoothdog Thank this. -

There seems to be a lot of fog this year in several states at one time. www.wunderground is a map I use to see what is going on. Last week there was fog from Texas all the way up through all the states to PA. With all the wet, warm days, snow combined it is an accident waiting for a happening.
