Well, it is Illinois and I'm guessing half the drivers who hit the bridge can't read English, or plain can't read.

I load in and out of Chicagoland all the time,.. and the majority of drivers I come across are as American as I am.
If you have a problem with immigrants, I suggest you move to another country. The beauty of living in America is that ANYONE from ANYWHERE can be an American. I mean imagine life in your home country being so miserable you look to move to a foreign country in order to make a new life. Then the people there show you nothing but bigotry, racial hatred and oppression.
These guys are working and supporting themselves. Not looking for hand outs or jumping on the Obama plan. I'd say there could be much worse things then Euro drivers to worry about.
Besides,.. I was there on the 25th.. I had just delivered in Bensenville. I passed right by that bridge,.. it was barricaded off. I didnt see that truck under it. Must have happened before or after I went by. I was PO'd because I was trying to get on the toll road and had to drive all the way around the airport because everything was under construction.

Besides. A lot of those guys are a lot whiter than I am!

These guys understand our signs just fine. The carrier I am leased to is owned by a Lithuanian. He is as American as I am. Loves beer and the Cubs. Has a thick accent, and gets worse when he's angry and cusses. But I would never accuse him of not understanding this business or the American language.

I think you should reevaluate your observations. They are not very accurate in my opinion. They come across as biased bigotry.

As a chicago driver I don't care what race or what country you'll from. If you come here for a better life, then come in this great country because both my parents did and I'm proud to be born here.
But if you come here thinking you are going to change it because it doesn't fit you well then I have a problem. You come here, you learn the rules, you learn to read and speak English. We are not going to adapt to your liking. You better understand that and you better like it.
I had a few issue with some people recently.... he told me he hated 70% of people here, because they way we act and do stuff. Then started saying how this isn't my country, it's everybody country. But yet if I go to his country it's his country not mind but for some magical reason, the United State is everybody's country.
