Low Overpass

It's been hit 15 times in 2 days??!!?

I'm embarrassed to be part of this industry sometimes.

 

My stars how can they not see all the warning signs.But knowing Chicago they made that truckers route not visable enough.I know ive taken trucker routes that construction made and next thing I know im lost.But in this case they should have called 911 to help them back out of it.

I guess you could say that some drivers need to lower their expectations a tad.
Or maybe they think that 12'6" will miraculously grow into 13'6" at the last split second.
It kinda makes you wonder about some folks.
Its the first thing I'm looking at when I go into any chemical plant. Will it fit?
Some of the old towns like Buffalo, NY are even worse. Some are as low as 10'-11' in places.
Try that for size !!

 

It makes less sense to hit a bridge marked 12'6

 

The headline should've read "Truck drivers are idiots". 15 trucks in 24 hours? No excuse for that level of idiocy.

Anybody notice that those are all CHICAGOLAND based trucks hitting the bridge? Let's bring some more Eastern European drivers into Chicago. It's worked swimmingly so far.
