Not a lot of details yet--but if your east of the lehigh valley headed west--might wanna hole up awhile---gonna be noon or so before reopened---and the backup to the detour is massive---and the decent roads that get you aroundare really bad also--and a word to the wise--IF you are NOT from the area---shut your GPS off--and think twice---YES there are multiple ways around it thru the woods--but you'll find most of the back roads around here make very little sence--and even the state highways have lots of weight restricted bridges--blind curves you'll not get around w/53'trailer w/out using the entire road...

Did I hear all that right a car was stopped partly blocking left lane FedEx stopped behind it and got rear ended or was it the FedEx doing the rear ending?
Condolences to his family. RIP Driver!!

Fedex [I suspect was also in the left lane] tried to avoid impact by veering right but was too little too late, and ran into the back of the other truck that was stopped or slowed in the left lane due to a 4-wheeler who was stalled in the left lane, fedex then proceeded to ricochet off to the right and somehow veered back to the inside and flipped. That's what I'm getting by observing the video of the accident scene.

And some here will say driving 130k+ miles a year on today's roads is not any more life threatening then having a desk job.

What is it with that stretch of road? Seems like they have so many fed ex trucks wrecking there they could fill up a junk yard.

That stretch of 78 was clear at time of accident. I stayed in Allentown last night and it was dry until earlier this evening

And what that Roadway driver said was right, that little stretch of 78 where the speed limit drops to 55 from MM 35 thru Allentown is dangerous.. so many accidents over past 5 years
