"Natalie Dale of GDOT said that the driver of the tractor-trailer was off the approved route. Dale said that according to his permit, he was supposed to be on I-85 but mistakenly got off on the connector."

Should have used a double drop.

Paying attention to this one. Driver says GDOT directions and GDOT says not. Hmm.

Did you even read the article?

-An employee of the trucking company said they had a state permit for a load up to 15 feet, 2 inches tall. But GDOT said the truck made a wrong turn, and was not supposed to be driving under the bridge, which is 14 feet, 10 inches tall.-

Besides, no mater who tells you where to go your still responsible to make sure you can go there.

I read the article as it was initially published and it did not have that part of it there. I'm sure the other posters behind me would have pointed that out.

Georgia doesn't require a high pole unless you are over 15'6"
