If there were trucks in the bathroom, I'd imagine that'd be a bad day at the Flying J.

 

Very sad story. But - we've been hearing about parking lot fatalities a little more lately. I don't get it. (although I probably am guilty of stumbling to the fuel desk now and then) How can you not see a truck? Was the driver going so fast at the Love's the pedestrian couldn't get out of the way? We do see those cowboy truckers speeding thru parking lots way too much, that's for sure. I know one thing. If I feel a bump in the middle of a parking lot, I'm taking a look. I think.

I know one thing. If I get run over, I'm not blaming the driver who hits me. As I depart I'll be calling myself a dumb@#$ for not noticing something as big as a semi approaching me. There are pedestrians hit by trains, San Diego area, something else I can't understand. Or getting caught in a flash flood, same thing. I just don't get it, but I'm reading about it a little more lately, it seems. Kind of a warning, I guess, one of those "don't let it happen to you" things.

 

I'm breaking out my bright red laser pointer and aiming it at approaching NASCAR parking lot qualifiers...maybe they'll be blinded long enough for me to leap to safety.
