Either way the world is a better place without this jerk walking around.

Hopefully the truck driver is able to understand what a selfish clown the person that did this was.

According to the news article's 16 seconds between first call of car going wrong way and first call of the wreck.
And this was given to the news by the guy that was behind the car just as they went across the median emergency turnaround seems priorities are a bit out of order grab camera not dial cops there is no way in 16sec to call 911 and then start camera. Heck takes me almost that long to get phone in position to be used other answer a call with headset.

Glad the driver got out seen both coils sliding down the road. Is there really any amount of securment that would have stopped them from coming dislodged?

Totally differnet subject but I have to wonder if any was shouting on the radio giving warning and/or did the unfortunate driver have a radio where he could have been warned and avoided this.

What could the cops realistically do? Block every possible entrance to the freeway and shut down the freeway screeching everyone to halt causing more incidents? Not enough man power to coordinate a response in very short time frame. Person called 911 and Recorded it.

    Not trying to argue.

i think the time is important to note just because it makes a difference where this was a sudden pull out in front of the driver with no time to react or something that the driver could have been aware of.

I I hope the god the guy who recorded it didn't have a working CB and that's his excuse for not hollering holy hell on it.

I just don't think they called in before recording is all I was saying 16 seconds (the artical had the time stamps for first call about wrong way driver and first call about the wreck most calling about wrong way would have still been on the phone) if you have ever called in they ask mile marker direction interstate or hwy number answering all that normally takes more than 16 seconds.
And there was nothing anyone could have done in that time frame. Even with 1/2 the entire state patrol force within a 1/2 mile radius it would have still happened.

I did not catch exact mm but near Dayton I would say probably not seems most that run one turn off near big cities as the locals cussing each other out seems to take up most them air waves. But no real big truck stops right there so that section is not to bad.
I do know a couple years ago running 64 in IL I heard acar was going wrong way I hit the shoulder and waited about three min till the car and the cops behind them went by. Was glad to have it on that day.

Looked like the event was recorded from a 4 wheeler. Blanket statement ( i'll own it ), It's 2015, This person was more aware of recording the incident, then to likely have a CB to warn others. Tweeted it :biggrin_2559:
