Saw that on the report blizzard like conditions were forecasted -
that's the after effect from utah.
12 semis got swallowed in salt lake. half of those were in a major accident out in the dessert also involving cars.

The time of year doesn't mean much in Wyoming. If it wants to snow it will snow. I've seen the chain law up on the Sisters in July.

What I am less surprised about. Snow in Wyoming in April or another 50 vehicle pileup?
Sadly it's a tough call -
-
if people driving through wyoming would stop thinking winter is over, and stop driving too fast for the conditions, and pay attention to the weather, these wrecks would not happen. But stupid people will do stupid things. And spring storms are the worst, as the ground has started to warm, so the initial snow fall melts, then the temperature drops 20 to 40 degrees in just a couple of hours, the winds blow always, and ice forms below the falling snow. And then you get those trucks running in a pack, and boom, crash bang....
never a surprise in april. -
I hate Wyoming. The weather there is always horrible. It makes Michigan seem like California. There is either 40 to 50 mile an hour winds or snow in the middle of spring. There's no happy medium. No wonder less than 600,000 people live there.
As for the 50 vehicle pileup? There is no excuse for that, just like there's no excuse for the 200 vehicle pile up in Michigan this winter. Stop bumping up against the governor every single second that you drive, and pay attention to what's happening in front of you, ie., the weather. If it's snowing out, slow the frick down. Mother nature will win every time if you don't use your head. -
