I'd love to know why he fell asleep at the wheel ... new driver doesn't know any better and continues on? Dispatch says he is legal to drive and he must carry on or else? E-log shows legal to drive and has 15 hours of driving to go but only time enough for one 10 hour break not 2?
I don't see how the age or make/model of truck makes any difference in this story. The cops said he fell asleep, they did not say anything about mechanical defects. How do you come to the conclusion it is a POS? -

Hendrickson has a bad reputation on the west coast. Those trucks are old and tired. The owner refuses to replace them, and the drivers are treated like garbage and the pay checks aren't great. Had the driver died, I would have said nothing.

I have ran loads lime this out here on easrlt coast. Must pick up in middle of night amd drop within same 14 hour period.
