Camaro and pickup causes accident on the NY Thruway.

Any news report on it? I wonder what charges they gave the camaro

 

Four drivers driving unsafely:

1. Camaro driver - DUH!

2. Pickup driver - prevents Camaro driver from cutting him off, then proceeds to delay his pass of the big rig to spite the Camaro driver.

3. Dash cam driver - tailgating the entire situation and taking a call when he should have been focused on the action in front of him.

4. Big rig driver - should have seen the road rage situation developing and backed off to let the Camaro through.

Other than that, another day in the office.

 

The pickup driver was a real douche.

Too bad the covered wagon didn't slow down and let the Camaro out.

 

From the comments camero driver charged with DUI and no license. I would guess more charges are coming. The pick-up driver also needs some charges. If you see the long version you can see the pick-up deliberately being dangerous also. They are both idiots. And yea forgot to mention truck driver, just should have backed off and let them play games way way up in front so he could avoid the accident that was going to happen anyway.

 

Loved how the idiot in the Camero signaled left before attempting to pass on the shoulder. That was very courteous.

 

The underlined point is something I have had to learn the hard way: let the fools be fools - just stay out of the way, lest you be the one who gets blamed for the resulting crapstorm. I won't go into details but let's just say that an incident a while back taught me that being a "professional" means being "above it all"; in other words, not lowering yourself to the level of the idiot behind the wheel of the other vehicle. It's a lesson I won't soon forget, and that this trucker may have done well to remember.

Sometimes it pays to just let the idiot "win" if he wants the lane bad enough...

 

I'm not sure it would have made any difference if the covered wagon slowed down. The pickup driver was deliberately messing with the Camaro to piss him off, so he would have just slowed his speed to pace the truck. I was in a similar situation a few years ago with a d-bag driver pacing next to me to mess with traffic behind him. I slowed down, so did he. I had to take an exit just to shake him off.

 

The Camaro driver's dimwittitude is obvious. The pickup driver I'm pretty sure was annoyed after the Camaro driver tried to force his way in and/or didn't check his blind spot early in the video. But he kept on holding the guy up long after he'd made his point. The covered wagon probably should have backed out of it and let the clown parade get out of his vicinity.

 

Remember that video a whole back when a car was trying to pass a truck by squeezing in front of another truck? There was a wreck there too. Instead of just letting the four wheeler go, he sped up and they wrecked. This is another example of knowing when to slow down and just let the stupid go by so they don't affect YOU
