My mom had to go through something like that. She was two cars behind a dodge dakota that ran off the road and hit a tree. 5 people inside that truck, it was an extended cab. Three of them died. The truck did not catch on fire though. She is and RN at the local hospital. She used to work in the ICU. She had dealt with death for a long time but that one crash had bothered her for a while. The driver of that truck had been smoking marajauna. Such a stupid thing driving like that thinking I am not going to die today, but yet you never know when your time is.

I drove a KW and the torsion bar suspension broke and the truck rolled over. I was pinned in the drivers seat, my partner was in the sleeper. We had a small fire but they put it out. That was in AZ on I 40 at about the 75 mm. After they got us out,I remember someone giving me coffee w/cream and sugar and thinking it was good at the time although have never before or since drank it w/c and s, always drink it black. Thanks to whome ever you guys were for all the work you did. Still have the scar on my arm where they broke the r windowto get more room to work.

I don't wish that on anyone. I can't imagine what it was like to be in that man's shoes. I cringe thinking about it. RIP.

It is sad indeed to see anyone die in a wreck, especially beign burned alive. I can't tell you how many times I have come close to being in a bad wreck, mainly because of 4 wheelers being in a rush go go no where..

One of the people, Cajunspice, posted bout the accident that they had in their town, Elgin Lirette was hit head on by Jarrod Kiger. I am the daughter of Elgin Lirette Jr. At first, people thought that my daddy was the one that you could hear screaming, but my daddy was killed upon impact. He was bringing a 2 and 1/2 ton load of tools to the Fourchon area, so when he was hit from the front, the load flew into the back of him also, so he was hit from the front and the back, the autopsy report said that his skull was split and his brains were leaking out(layman's terms) and he was charred. He was burned so badly that they wouldn't let us view the body and we had to cremate him. I know that it's an age old message, but please, if you see anybody that is drunk, please, take their keys away from them. When we received the accident report, we learned that Jarrod Kiger also had Valium and weed in his system as well as being over 3 times the legal limit of alcohol. We also learned that he was 33 days into serving a 90 day suspension on his license for a DWI. Why did his family let this man get behind the wheel of his car? Because of him, our family is torn apart and hurting so bad now. Please, don't let people drink and drive, my mom started a myspace page in remembrance of my daddy where people who have lost family members in drunk driver accidents can go and post things. I don't know if I'm allowed to give the name of page but if you want to know, just message me and I'll give it to you, thanks, Celeste

    Ryansgirl,

Sorry for the loss. I can not imagine what your family is going through. Are you going to press charges or have you already did that?
