A truck driver was airlifted from a wreck on I-94 near the Wisconsin Dells Monday morning after two trucks collided and one of the trucks spilled stone slabs across both lanes of the highway.
A semi carrying granite slabs on a flat-bed trailer collided with another semi, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. Westbound lanes of 1-94 at Highway 23 were blocked for about two hours while the stone slabs were cleared.
Eastbound lanes were closed briefly as well while a helicopter landed to take away one of the truck drivers, who was injured, according to the State Patrol. Officials didn't immediately have information on which truck the injured driver was operating or the extent of the injuries.
The interstate reopened about 10:20 a.m., according to the State Patrol.
