Indianapolis - Truck wreck stops I-465 traffic on SoutheastsideA dump truck driver escaped a flaming noontime wreck with minor injuries, according to Indiana State Police.
Marlin M. Pickett, 49, Brownsburg, was sent to Methodist Hospital with what police called a minor head injury. Passing motorists got him out of the truck before the vehicle was consumed by flames.
Troopers said a blown tire caused the 2000 Kenworth dump truck to crash when headed northbound on I-465 on the Southeastside. The truck crashed into the concrete center divider and then struck one of the support pillars for the I-74 overpass, bursting into flame.
Just missed seeing this one happen. That driver is lucky to be alive. The truck burned quick, nothing but a charred frame once they got the fire out.
Can't figure out how to upload video to this site, if anyone knows please do tell.
