    I have read the rules i just didnt know if they are set for tow truck but I guess so since we are still CMV I just need to make sure because Im tired of working all these hours and still not making any money. I need time to find another job Lol...

    I wonder if my state classing tow trucks as emergency vehicles has something to do with us not being held to the rules. I mean we still had rules, I got busted by the DOT van for not having the magnetic lights on a car I was towing one day. I didn't like them, they tended to scratch the paint. He never asked for med card or log books. We never had to stop at scales either.

As far as being able to bust the 14 because of emergency status of the business thats one for Log's r us...

    Look it works like this, your the driver your responsible for death and destruction you cause because of DOT/HOS violation. Your employer nor the local Police Department trump the Federal Laws. Your employer will burn you so fast you wont even know its happened till its over.

    You are not an EMT nor are you Fire or Police so get off your soap box. If you can't handle the call they simply call out the next on rotation. Your 20 minutes rule is a contract point not a point of law. As far as running 96 Hours straight you are in so much deep crap if you have an accident you wont see the light of days for years. Your employers is taking advantage of you being naive. By the way you are personally responsible for HOS/DOT violations that could be as high as 1000.00 per violation.

    This is the wrong forum to brag about violating HOS law, think before you type...

    Nah, he won't. Not when he's been doing the same thing for 30 years. And they'd have to go after every single tow driver within a 300 mile radius. Everybody runs like that.

    Actually, I had two accidents. No tickets, no record, no nothing.

    What he types on this forum is not admissible as evidence in a court of law. It's hearsay. That's why i constantly brag about violating HOS here.
