I have four questions, the first one is.
1.If I have my own authority and company as an independent and I want to apply for another company to be a driver(NOT leased, driving their equipment only) for them (I want to get a job and then suspend my authorityand get out of the owner operator business) and they want me to take a physical and get another medical card through them before I have gone out of business, can I do that?
    2. Does this mean I will have two medical cards,or does the new one cancel the old one?
    3. If the old one is cancelled then do I no longer have the right to drive for my own company as an owner operator with my own authority because that card is now voided?
    4. HAs anyone ever done this before? How do I prperly find another trucking job and get out of this owner operator business? I have looked everywhere for answers, thank you.

Both med cards would be valid until their expiration date...it is a company thing to have a med card through them...CYA on their part. Look at your card...does it have a place on it that states "employed by"? Mine doesn't!

The medical card is good, but before starting with a new company you'll still have to pass a drug test to prove you arent a crackhead like those in Washington passing all the laws.

So I should go ahead and park my truck and apply for a company job then? That's what I want to do. Can I do this?

Sure you can...why not lease onto the company with your truck...you have more control of yourself that way!?!

Since you are willing to drive for them as a company driver....makes sense to me!

I'm just tired of the paperwork and all the huge fees for everything like insurance and plates etc... I have almost a year on the plates and insurance now and i figure that's a good time to get out so I can sell the truck and trailer. That's another thing . How do I sell my equipment? and will me voluntarily getting out make me a victim of an audit? I have heard so many tales.
