log book hours rolling into the next day

    Correct. It depends on what the officer saw in his logbook also that could be a discrepancy.

    Ill i seen was the tiket and his log book and also what he told me. The time when he got fuel and the milage is right he made it 182 miles from when he fueled up to when he got stoped so i do have the fuel tiket that shows that

    I called about the tiket and just act like i was him thay said the officer had not turned in the tiket yet he got the tiket on wednesday! so looks like ill call them monday

    I also called JJ.keller and thay also said fight the tiket im just hoping thay fig out he is in the wrong before it goes to far

    Most likely if it happened at a scale house the officer made copies of the logs as proof. Ask for copies yourself. If he doesn't have them just makes the DOT's case worse.

    its actually not your opinion.....its the law. (well guess it could still be your opinion) =)

    FMCSA states that your logbook must be kept current up to the last change of duty status....so if you drove from 8p to 2a, and stopped at a rest area to grab a soda, your previous day needs closed out. just think of the hay-day a DOT guy/gal would have seeing your previous day wasnt finished.
