When driving my POV with a CDL, is the legal limit .04 or .08 BAC?

i doubt the MD state police will be very responsive to me asking them the laws.

Yea, they have bilboards all over the place saying the limit is .08.

    but it is not!
If a normal driver in a car blows a .07, they are screwed.
very misleading info, making some think that they can legally drive when under .08.

in TN if you have a CDL and blow a .04 in a POV you get a DUI......

in other word in TN if you have a CDL it doesn't matter what you are driving at .04 you get a free ride in a cop car.

Several states consider the license you have not the vehicle you are driving...CA another that once you have the CDL....that is your license and your limits/restrictions...the vehicle you are driving will change your speed limit but nothing else!

yea, MD has those zero tolerance signs everywhere.
but i kinda thought that might mean they have zero tolerance for anyone over the legal limit.

not zero tolerance for anyone with any alcohol at all in their system.

I think GA is the same way. My dad got one for .05 in his pov.

One small but important fact everyone seems to be forgetting. Most if not all companies will not hire someone convicted of a DUI till 5 years have passed. Thats if they will hire you at all. Best bet is like it was posted earlier is if you drink don't drive.

    wulfman75 Thanks this.
