    They must haul really cheap freight if the surcharge is almost as much as the base rate.

    That sounds about right. The rate must be pretty bad for the FSC to be almost the same as rate.

    Ok, thanks for the answers, when I first saw that I was thinking they were paying for 100% of the fuel (Kinda like a company driver). but now I know its more they pay 100% of whats collected from the customer.

    Are you happy with what you get paid when all is said and done. Myself it makes no difference to me if I agree to do something for a dollar how we arrive at that dollar.If the fuel surcharge is one cent and rate is 99 or if rate is one cent and the fuel surcharge is 99 cents.What difference does it make you still end up with your dollar.
