My friend got a written warning in Oregon. But he says it didnt show up on his csa record? I hope hes right. I guess we can hope for verbal warnings.

And I got pulled into a NC weigh station and got a level 3. Everything was good and was given a paper stating all was good. Do good reports show up on your csa?

Yes this is true. I know a few drivers that have pointed out already. Good drivers with BS pullovers by overzealous law enforcement. I have had 2 experiences in LA along i-12 (no points, all clean) but I got pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt when I was wearing it. Officer saying I must have just put it on and luckily my wife was with me (wearing hers) and told him we always wear one so then he inspected the truck and I got a clean roadside inspection. about 1 1/2 weeks later. Same stretch of road running a hazmat load on the flatbed and pulled over at the exit ramp of the scale and they did a roadside on me as the guy was at least honest and said "I needed 1 more bulk hazmat load to fill my quota for the year" and again I passed another roadside level 2. I got 200 bucks from the company but dang, just a litle overzealous, maybe?

Well if it were not for the warning, I would of got $500.00 from my co for a no violations inspection.

Yeah that sucks, I wonder what we can do besides have our own onboard cameras to fight the situation? Its like they are just trying another sneaky way to get us to think the EOBR's are a good idea. Its BS no matter what and a lot of good drivers are going to have to be the sacrificial lambs for the govt to wonder why there is no food on the shelves and if there is, its too expensive even for them.

Tn does not require a reason for an inspection. I have had two on the back way to 40 off 65. Lot's of people like to run the scales that way so they watch it pretty good.

Both clean inspections, no citation or warning listed on inspection reports.

I was unaware that anyplace needed to worry about "probable cause" when it came to a DOT inspection. Just the fact that you are operating a CMV is enough.

It is not a probable cause issue.

It seems that if they can state speeding as a reason to pull over, it hits the CSA some how.

I read this and it still makes no sense, because a ticket does not have to be issued.

It seems that it shows a trend and the insurance companies and trucking companies will see this as bad on the driver even with no points.

In the OP's story the officer allegedly told him he needed probable cause hence the speed warning. I was just relaying that I have been stopped and inspected in Tn without any proof of cause.

I agree though probable cause is not necessary in a commercial vehicle with DOT numbers displayed.

Yeah 109, or if I am going to Carthage I'll jump off in Cave City and run 31E to 231 to 25 or on down to Lebanon.

I think the reason I get inspected so much is I run alot of the outlaw routes. Not because I need to I just get tired of the super slab. Give me a good two lane over any Metro area any day.
