Get ready to lose your license for 90 days to 1 year. That'll give you time to think about why you ain't above the DOT. Then when you get your license back, good luck finding someone who will hire you.

You might have been able to beat the log falsification ticket before you took off. But, there is no way you will beat a ticket where you take off after being shut down for hos violation. How long have you been driviing? After your license suspension is over you can likely expect to have a difficult time finding a carrier who will hire you. I would also expect your current carrier to fire you once the find out about the charges. They might wait until you go to court, but the suspension will be automatic unless you can plead it down to something else. I would not expect the officer to be very receptive to pleading the charges down to something less. If the charges stand you will now have 2 major violations on your CSA and MVR along with a suspension. You should not expect to be welcome with open arms when you start looking for your next driving job. In fact, you might want to look at a different career.

Yup!, makin' a break for it, while funny... really limited your options in fighting this... It's likely Texas DOT thought you were green and might try and leave... So they were watchin' you like a hawk.

If true, sounds like you might have admitted to DOT you started 1hr early... Never ever admit anything. In their eyes, your a stupid trucker... act like one. Even if you have a college education... and infinitely more life training than Mr. DOT.

It would be difficult to fight a ticket where you take off 3 hours after being shut down.
