About the new manditory 30 minute break between the 6 and 8 hours?:biggrin_2554: I heard some of you long haulers will lose something like 28 1/2 days of driving in a year.

If you can log sleeper during loading/unloading that will count and you won't lose any time . If you don't have over 2 1/2 hours on duty time on your 14 it won't hurt you other than delay .

Oilfields haul it from the leases to the disposal. Sometimes depending on how hot it is you can see the salt crystals in the drip catchers lol.

Thank you IBT and every person whining that the 14 hour clock could not be stopped. That was an outright lie. It could not be extended but a driver could always stop it.

Probably will not effect anyone seriously. I doubt anyone was ever running all 11 without a stop or three in the middle.

the 14 hour CAN'T be stopped.

the 30 minute break interrupts your driving time. so you drive 11 1/2 hours now instead of 11. (in actual time) but it doesn't interrupt your 14.

in fact. it shortens your 14 down to 13 1/2 actual time. but you're still logging 14. only now it includes a break.

OK no not stopped. But the implication from the "break" advocates while they intended to get an extension of the clock(by stopping it). They were free to take breaks or not as they wanted but made claims of people working straight through their fourteen non-stop.

Now they have their much wanted break they were incapable of remedying themselves.
