Then, I'm assuming one would need a new BOL stating residue or fumes, to legally move the product, as the previous BOL is clearly incorrect. They do it for chemical residue...
Again, sounds like the DOT makes this up as they go... What's next? A BOL for sail boat fuel?

I drove from Montana to Florida and back and from Montana to Arizona and back with my tractor trailer helping family move and never logged any of it. As long as I was hauling my own things and not generating revenue I was told by the FMCSA and ATA that I did not have to follow HOS rules.. Oh and to Minnesota also.. we also use our Semi Tractor to pull our fifth wheel camper, No HOS there either..

I was also told by the FEDS that I can bobtail anywhere I wish so long as when I go back on duty I go on duty where I went off duty, OR I must take seven days off duty before I can start my duty status in my new location. I used to Bobtail home to Montana from Minnesota as Personell Conveyance, but could not go on duty in Montana unless I took seven days off and had a clean 70 hour in 8 days. but i had to go back to Minnesota any way, so id bobtail back to minnesota get my trailer and let dispach know i was ready for work. I always bobtailed home to montana because freight here sucks and I wouldnt haul it..

For the third time this year I bobtailed personal conveyance from Dallas TX to Lathrop CA. This time was on Elogs. The only thing I logged on duty for was the 5 minutes it took to put some fuel in the tanks and went right back to off duty driving.
