So you concede the fact that there are laws, regs, rules etc... that contradict the Constitution. Many of which have not seen Supreme Court deliberations yet. OK

If you are referring to Ricks comments about OOIDA, I think he was just trying to say that the OOIDA members just relied on OOIDA to submit the comment and did not submit one on their own behalf. The result being there is only one negative comment instead of the thousands from each individual member. Thus the positive side received more entries. That's how I read it.

Just poking at cha fellas I will leave ya alone. Y'all are just too smart, well informed for me. The last long post was nothing more than a joke. See how crazy you got though you'll argue with a snowball.

We have the right to vote to change laws but in the environment today, the government ACTS like they listen but do not.

THEY simply get sued by cry baby nut jobs who distort data or make it up like the central Florida university study that was turned in at the LAST MINUTE, when there was no time for a fact check and then start writing laws!

Eobr's will not help safety and, you right not be stopped, so after we are all tracked like dogs, all the real drivers leave ( or many) this is when we will be able to see just how useless they are......

Oh but wait they will just control the data, leave some data out, make some up and it may APPEAR that these laws have done some good.

Simply put guys some people (timid men) like being told what, when, where, and how to do things OTHERS ACTUALLY LIKE USING THEIR BRAINS.

This is wrong flat out and there is no reason to argue because your wrong but you'll never admit it because in your eyes they are fine....I'm OK with that think, feel and do what you want I'm very happy that this makes you FEEL SAFER while you work. This is great, for you.

Tazz really enjoy all this, these laws and regs, AT LEAST they make some people FEEL better, they absolutely WILL NOT MAKE YOU SAFER but if your happy then I'm glad.

Do you have a deeper understanding of reality than people who oppose these laws.....anything but! You simply chose to appect and move on. This is a good thing for you because your more at ease, or should be!

Now go back into your safety bubble and let all the simple minded comments bounce off, you too good to be responding to some simple Texan.

Thank you for helping to mold trucking into an industry where we have all these tools because now soon ANYBODY can drive a truck just take away ALL THE NEED TO THINK. PERFECT

IQ 71....come work for us we have EOBR'S you don't have to worry about it, we tell you when to do everything, you can get in that auto shift and as long as you can push that pedal down and set an air brake your GOLD! Just sign your name on this lease and after you pay us $140,000 for a truck worth $30,000 you can have it......no no no all those other guys who used to drive this truck could not hack it.....that actually READ the contract and then thought they were going to be able to STOP and REST when they were sleepy.

Just sign sir, we give you $300 a week to spend and within 16 years its truck is your clean!

THIS IS WHAT YOUR HELPING TO CREATE! Be proud men ......kinda like NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ......for trucking.

Why just because someone has and IQ of 70-73, and cannot read and write enough to walk down the street should that not have to right to drive a BIG TRUCK.....shoot signs have arrows on them and are color coded.

This is so wrong any comment I make IS A JOKE DONT YOU GET IT.

My phone is my choice. When i sleep, its off. Qualcomm stays on. If you like a babysitter in your truck, that fine, have one. If they make it a law i'll let you buy mine for me. I have better things to spend money on. My truck is so much better without that Qualcomm, i can get work done now and not have to pull over everytime it beeps.

So, you couldn't figure out how to make it not beep at you? There are several methods that can be used to silence the QC. You'd then have your choice again.

    Tazz Thanks this.

Wow according to their wabsite these things will save you 30% on fuel (fuel consumption reduced) , better MPG, no more cell phone hassles, improves communication between dispatch and drivers.

Mûnoz Trucking states "helps us to keep tabs on our drivers at ALL TIMES"

Now if they can just get a ankle braclet to work with it they will even know where we went in the truck stop. They could also put a device on our wrists that reads heatbeats.....then they would know exactly when we need to sleep, or if we are too angry, hungry, sad, hot, excited to drive!

Also what is really needed is a way for them to know if we actually DID GO INTO THE SLEEPER, maybe hook something on our wrists again that communicates with the EOBR.

I mean if this is indeed all about safety then should they not have alk this stuff too?

These devices are just not complete without all that, since all that can easily be done then WHY CHEAT the american public?

Would that data not make the ROADS MORE SAFE? Reduce lawsuits if they were on there? Of course......is it a matter of time? Who knows but I would hate to buy the getto version. If im going to spy on a driver I would want to know if he dumpped 15 teaspoons of sugar in his tea for sure.

Concede? No. I never stated anything different in the post you decided to split in half. Therefore nothing to concede. However I agree there are laws and regs that have not been presented before the Supreme Court. Part 395 is not one of them however. And EOBR's will not be after the concerns of driver harassment have been adressed. OOIDA was real good at making up the ruling's wording. What the court questioned was that the FMCSA had not investigated what forms of harassment would be faced by the use of them. Now they have done their due dilligence and found that there are regulations in place to prevent it, and further an EOBR tracks nothing existing technology should not be. But hey like I tell you people all the time. Feel it's contrary to the Constitution feel free to get ahold of your local ACLU and file a suit.I wouldn't have OOIDA do it their track record isn't very good, and they are probably not looking to cut off that tit they have been sucking on to press the matter.
