    uk criminal record and us cdl driving

    hi,
    a question asked of me,i don't have the answer.
    a 23 year young uk resident with a uk passport and a us passport,wants to come to the USA to start a new life.he has a uk criminal record.he can provide reasonable work records but will his wayward past be looked at?
    all and any advice will be gratefully considered.

    I would doubt any of the trucking companies here run anything other than a simple background check for the US.

    US trucking companies do not accept , or consider UK/ european driving experience when they consider you for hire, why?.., too difficult for them to get info from companies that they have never heard of. He will be considered a rookie and have to go thru a cdl course with a company or pay himself thru school. Companies will do a US background check.

    agree with dogofwar- they won't look at UK history, employment or criminal.
