There is no FMCSA requirement to log toll roads. They are logged as any other road. As to your company requirement, I would believe that flagging when you entered and exited the tollroad would suffice.
-
Why does your company want you to log toll roads?
-
No one logs toll boths thats cazy!! Just run the road and the tickits from the boths have a time on them so say you go thur plaza A at 1020 am but your log shows you were 50 miles away well thats no good. Needs to mach up some what I hide my tickits in my truck as my company could care less about the times.
-
Have you not noticed that many trucks pull over at the toll booths and make a notation?
There are companies that are really anal on this. -
aiwiron Thanks this.
-
The booth attendant asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said I have the IPASS. She said many trucks have them, but pull through to get a receipt for their logs. -
-
But do you think a company driver can log into their company account?
A friend works at a company that has the IPASS and he does what I said. He noted the times when he would cross the IPASS and then if it does not match their IPASS times, they take it from his check. -
No, a company driver would not, as it is not their account.
