Refuse to drive the truck until it's fixed. Go up the chain until you find whoever will back you on this. Exhaust can kill you. I've been through this a few times, until you put your foot down you will be walked on.

Ya I gotta take around 17hr bus trip back to the Schneider Carlisle PA OC and I'm told this is standard but I'm not sure because my last DBL was always getting me a car rental or a ride from another nearby driver. Is this against the whistleblowers act because they took the truck away instead of repairing it and it sort of feels retaliatory as well as the loss prevention meeting I have to have when I get there. I already asked and was assured no disciplinarey action was going to be taken against me but we shall see.

Well what a nightmare,i feel like I've been chewed up and spit out . They just fired me and i am on the bus home. The took my truck away and gave me a crappy tiny one (flattop ) and cut my productivity-had me sitting a lot and i was fired for sending inappropriate Qualcomm msg which i didn't . I will.notify OSHA but im not sure i want to get a lawyer. I just want a decent Job if they actually exist.Once i refused to drive the truck and reported them working there was never the same.

When the next guy dies from it, they'll get sued. It's a shame when you get bad results from doing the right thing.

Please tell us who this idiot outfit is so we can avoid it.

Shouldn't be hard to prove now the complaint's you made along with your pay record's.
    Seems obviously retaliatory.
    Definitely seek a lawyer.
Not a smart move for them .

If you have not already done so please get a complete physical and have your CO levels checked if you are still in this truck. Long term chronic exporsure can lead to serious damage to your body. My husband was found dead in his sleeper in Carlin Nevada at the Pilot truck stop . The coroner released his truck back to the company with no inspection. CO test were conviniently not done on his blood until six months later ..He still tested positive but we do not have an accurate level. OSHA does not have jurisdiction ,DOT won't force and inspection but I'm not giving up.

Drivers are dying from CO and coroner's are ruling Cardiac arrest and not the true causing factor. They will pull anything from medical history and do no research and if you have a delay in testing the results aren't accurate. If you drive long Haul Anita interstate travel OSHA does not have jurisdiction . If you die on a private truck stop lot DOT will do absolutely nothing. I speak from experience. It's been almost a year since my husband died and no one will help me. Unless you have money to pay expert witnesses you are screwed.
