CDL medical card questions?

    I don't know about other states, but in ohio there are several choices on the self certification. One of these choices is for intrastate driving that does not need a physical. This could be a way to keep your cdl while not actually driving.

    My companyis paying $65.00 in East Brunswick, NJ. Most places around here are over $50.00.

    The DOT is going to register the 'approved physycians' and they will be the only places to get a DOT physical or re-certification, no more having the family doctor do it for you unless he is part of the National List. The form and instructioins is changing, slightly., again too.

    The upside of that is the 'registered' clinics will then electronically notify the state for you. This problem of sending it in will go away.

    I know NJ wants to see the renewal two weeks b/4 the old form expires so those guys who wait until the last day will have problems...
