i think theres going to be a lot more driver shortages do to listening devices and spy cams being placed in these trucks , seems to me they are kind of like the government they want know all your personal business and every thing else they can think of !!!! think about it next time your dispatcher says something to you that he really shouldn't know , he's just letting you know i'am listen and watching. its sad it's come to this..................

The company that I drive for has Drivecam's in all of the trucks. Its really not a big deal. It only saves the video for 8 seconds prior to and 4 seconds after an event is triggered. And in a LOT of situations it has saved the driver's ###. There have been several guys involved in accidents and the video proved their innocence, in one accident the police actually filed a report putting the driver at fault before seeing the video which proved his innocence.

    Its not all bad...

I don't mind a camera pointed at the road. I'm actually buying one just don't know which one yet. but as for the ones pointed at a driver I think it's nonsense. it will never happen even though I read about em

I don't understand what you mean by it will never happen? Do you mean you'll never have one or you don't think they are out there? Because rest assured they are out there.

I wear tinfoil, so I have no concern.

In the evening, though, I like to dim the lights, put on some mood music, remove my tinfoil underwear and...

There has to be at least one or more companies using it in California, but it might be a misdemeanor.

The Attorney General in California has been asked to address the following in a legal opinion:
