Electronic logging notice on the move at DOT
A proposal that calls for truckers to log their hours electronically instead of by paper logs is on the move, at least internally within the U.S. Department of Transportation. The FMCSA’s supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking advanced to the DOT’s Office of the Secretary of Transportation on June 7.

Just like they said when I got my license for tax preparation. Said it was permanent. 2 years later, I have to spend 200.00 a year for continuing education and then every 4 years pay to renew it.

    Got to love government.

State of Illinois did it to me on the Insurance License. The hours got ridiculous and then they doubled or tripled the renewals. Just said goodby.

Had to renew the paramedic license and if you are in an area over a certain level, you have to pay to renew. Fire Department will reimburse, but causes paperwork.

Since I do not get paid, all volunteer, I attached a statement declaring and they waived the fee.
