Well it's pretty simple to me.........carriers operate under rules governed by the FMCSA (DOT) (Feds) as we agree to also when we sign on with one. Same with your own authority, so if you fail a drug/alcohol test because you used before it flushes through your body then that's on you.

Personally I have no issue with legalixing pot or any other drug as the so called War on Drugs has only helped to enrich the lives of the "drug lords", money launderers, law enforcement and politicians.......it is and has been another in the long line of dismal failures sponsored by our Federal Government.

 

Maybe the Mickey D's in Washington will hire a user.

the day the law passed I got an email from the federal Department of Transportation telling me that even though Washington State pass the law that does not mean that I can do it.

 

I sure wouldn't want to be the first to push the issue. If that's your thing it would be smart to avoid at all cost until it's on the books and everyone knows the law.
