What's the real point of the Elog anyway? So a driver can't falsify his logs? Why has nobody asked the question, "Driver, why did you falsify your logbook?" Bet his response would be because he got stuck in traffic for hours on end, or he was held up at a loading or unloading dock for a long time, which is often unpaid time. Have we done the study of what it will cost to pay drivers for this time? Or does the driver just get the shaft? Am I the only one that sees a revolving door of all new drivers that get into trucking thinking they will make some decent money, find out this device is going to limit them to less than the poverty line, then quit after a couple years? And for those of you on E-logs working for mega carrier USA doing drops and hooks - I guess you never have your own ambition to be your own boss someday? How does the guy survive that can't drop trailers all over the place so a customer can take their sweet time to load or unload it? Limit the competition. Keep making it more and more difficult for the independent. What a great direction this industry is going.
Peter Griffin, x#1 and that65 Thank this. -
Boss had to tame the outlaws . -
If you drive in a state that only requires you to have a time card of In and out time and not a log for air mile work. Would e logs still be required?

us 'outlaws' or supertruckers as those who dont know what they are talking about call us weren't out of control.never forced, was a matter of pride.we were truck drivers real ones.we moved freight.they as in the law were very aware of what was going on,you know how many times log book was behind, days behind, the cop would look at it hand it back and say you ok.lots of tickets,no accidents, they were not an accepted practice like today.
"Hang - Man" and x#1 Thank this.
