Hello guys and gals. I'd like to start off but saying I did a search but I got no results on my questions. If there is a thread please redirect me.
I just got my USDOT# and MC# as common carrier. I will be running for now only one owner operator with my trailers. We are located in the state of Missouri. I am planning on running him all over the United States for now. I am waiting for my insurance agency to shoot me quotes back on cargo, and I am in the process of finding a FMCSA agent for BOC-3. What I don't fully understand is IFTA, IRP, UCR and how does that work because I will be running a owner operator and not a company owned truck. The owner operator will be leased and I will be taking a certain percent from each load. If any one could please explain how this will work and what is needed. If there is anything extra please let me know, the more I learn the better. or if you have any suggestions.
-Thanks

Join the OOIDA and call their business services, they will file your BOC-3 for free and help you with the rest.

What about IFTA, IRP/Base Plates, UCR how does that work since I am not the owner of the truck just owner of the company.
