    I don't get it ?

The job threatening , abusive bunch of outlaws I work for

have been brought into line since they were forced to go on Elogs some time back .

They were one breath away from bring closed .

Why would I for one want to return the old days of running 18 hrs a day whilst being pushed around like a sled dog by a couple of coked out dispatchers ?

Do you wish to stay on paper logs ?

With the new Elogs and the attached coercion rules , I simply dare any company to even think about abusing a driver .

What tha ! is up ?

    Vito and gpsman Thank this.

YES, i dare to stay on paper. or laptop as the case may be.

i really don't care for your babysitter.

and if your company pushes you around. there's a million trucking jobs in this country.

dunno Mev, I suppose maybe because some of us believe that it's individual strength or weakness that determines whether or not we allow an employer to "force" us to run illegal. Personally, I don't have that prob. I run legal paper. Like anyone else, its up to me whether I run illegal or not, not my employer :)

No way , running is for girls , and people being chased by a Tsunami.

Stay and fight , until they change , or stay and watch them die , (then go to another job) :)

The dot was notified 4 times by DRIVERS at my current company , and it was instrumental in bringing change over the years , to this day they are on " conditional operating status " at the DOT mainly due to drivers speaking out and exposing them.

I simply don't see any reason for "bad" trucking companies to exist .

The majority of complaints on this forum are not because of companies ,
    it's because drivers won't take a stand.

Now that they have been turned around I would not leave them

    gpsman Thanks this.

For those of you that think the big companies can't mess with an elog, they are doing it already. This way there is no paper trail if something happens.

Alright fine, keep your elogs that can still be edited by your company see if I care. When you're paying $500 for a steak and $250/lb for hamburger I don't want to hear you complaining. When everything you buy at a truck stop goes through the roof price wise don't complain. When fresh produce goes through the roof at the grocery store don't complain!

You see them as a benefit, I see them as a hindrance if you want big brother watching over you more power to you! I on the other hand don't need a baby sitter, don't have a problem pulling long shifts I have too, and other drivers do as well. You can't do that crap with an eobr, and I don't want one of the #### things. Keep in mind you don't have to pay to have it outfitted on a truck, you're not losing as much as some of us are because you don't run as hard as some of us do. I don't have a problem with that. But this crap of we all need this is just plain ridiculous and safety ISNT what they're for. The fatal accidents these black boxes are supposed to eliminate were cause by a goverened e log truck from a mega carrier in the first place. Well most anyway.
