Should drivers be paid for detention time?

    Hopefully in the not too distant future the bottom feeder companies will be forced to pay detention.So what if the customer won't pay detention,that's not the drivers problem.To remedy that is not pick up or deliver there any longer or get the driver in and out soon as he bumps the dock.Drivers have bills too.I also think drivers should receive more layover pay.Its easy for drivers to say quit and go somewhere else but what good will that do especially for the new drivers,its going to be the same thing with the next company and the next.Companies wanna utilize drivers will then do just that,keep them running or pay them to sit.
