It is company and/or insurance policies. I currently have my 13 year old riding with me for the remaining summer break. 13 years old is what my company requires.

Well I took my mom for 4 days in my truck. Obviously I did not read this post before, and although the topic is about being 18+, I wonder now if my mom who is 60+ should be allowed as passenger in her son's truck...

Well my moms 82--& does just fine when I get a chance to take her---Although I still have to hear the same silly line Every time she gets in ...Wheres the other gear stick?..Then she giggles like a kid...she cracks her self up.....

Hang in there and keep asking him to go. He might be a little worried about you being able to handle the road for weeks at a time. It's tough out here when things don't go right.
Brought my son out when he was 10. I was REAL hesitant at first and put him off for awhile, I finally gave in and we had a FREAKIN blast for 2 whole months!!
He's probably just concerned/worried for you is all. Don't give up. Good luck!! -
That was my plan to take mom in the truck.We talked about it but I never got the chance.
