Hello I have been driving for 5 years and well I went to work in the oil field last year and on my way back and forth got pulled over in North Dakota and Iowa for speeding.. and well now I have 3 speeding tickets for 10 mph over... well little did I know that TN records every little detail so now I cant find a job. At least an OTR Job.. I've been working off road hauling stone and gravel, but well that gets boring after a while. I was considering moving to Canada as I heard that some lower states do not transfer tickets to some parts of Canada. Would anyone have any input on this topic?

I'd think that's BS myself. You'd better be sure about that before doing anything on that.

So your plan is what, exactly? Move here so you can get a job driving a truck OTR, and not tell your prospective employer about your 3 tickets you got while in the US?

Don't you just love how some states erase things after so many years, and other states keep things on your driving record forever :(

your screwed! and you did it to your self. 3 10 plus tickets are considered reckless driving by trucking and insurance companies. and running to Canada isn't going to help you any. they will still find out about the tickets. so at worst you are stuck at a job you don't want. if you do quit. it could be months before you find another job. the oilfield company will have a new person doing your job you walked away from. the job to applicant ratio is about 100 applicants for every job.

Ya guess you really should be fortunate that you have the " off road" driving job at least you are making more than min wage , the ins company's typically loom back three years , the states usually only two , so as you see who really running things ? Tough break learn from it and " drive on " , as far as moving away from problems ,. * don't worry problems always have a way of finding you and following you where ever you go..........

So you want to emigrate to Canada in order to clear your record so that you can drive a truck. Wow ... what makes you think we want you here? Your past won't disappear; you do realize the insurance companies here are just extensions of the major US insurance companies ...

Point being, you made some mistakes ... and now you have to live with that ...

Have you even even been to Canada? Why not Mexico?

Well no i didnt say drive a truck.. im happy driving off road here.. i make $1000 a week driving a truck off road and home every night... canada has less tax rate, not as expensive health care.. list goes on and on... and I wanted my tickets off my record for other reasons.. not for trucking reasons... why the hell would I move to canada and drive a truck when I can drive a truck off road here and make $1000 a week... granted its not the best scenary or best equipment but still pays the bills...
