If we have to give the bikes room, then they need to pay for a license to operate on the highways, tired of dodging them when they don't look.

Why do we spend millions in our road use money on bike trials then they ride on the highways?

Because bike trails are usually recreational -- folks cycling on streets & highways are more likely to be on a commute. I'd rather there be 1 less car on the road...

I always rode into oncoming traffic when I had a bike in the truck.

People will get over if you stare them down.

Ppl act different knowing they are being watched.

    Get seen better as well.

Not all on the streets are commuters. The road riders, who are usually the most militant, and ride in packs, ride on the streets, and rarely follow the traffic laws. I had a group of female riders in a pack ahead of me today at a stop light, they did not wait for the light to change, ran the red light.
I'd like to see them get ticketed for safety reasons, (and yes I was not finished checking out the very nice firm cabooses in the stretchy shorts)
It works both ways. They want to be respected on the roads, they need to act like they deserve it. The traffic laws apply to them, also.

I'm also somebody who has been hit twice by a car while riding a bicycle, once intentionally by a drunk driver.

I'm not anti bike. I'm anti stupid.
