When I went through Primes CDL school. They said if you had done anything in the past three months to just go home. They said any failures would be reported without hesitation.

Another "one post wonder"..................I simply cannot believe these questions get asked over and over and over..........
-
Most of these guys are stupid enough to show up and get busted on the drug test...

You have me confused with one of those guys that passed the tests and is 'clean', already out driving a truck.
I'm not looking for validation, justification or any of that washy nonsense. I could care less what text online has to think of my situation.
One post wonder? No. MJ has only been for the last 3ish months out of sheer boredom, it's not habitual and as stated, I've been off both. Exceptionally light means I've probably had a 1-puff night a total of 8 times in those 3 months. I don't plan on continuing either. The vicodin was for a lumbar puncture, it's not a long-term thing. Script was for 10 pills.
Another at-home test this morning says clean, once again. First wee of the morning, the absolute worst time to take the test.
As stated in my OP, I'm looking forward to a wonderful career as a trucker. My driving record speaks for itself, license at 16, first $500 20th-hand '90 Cavalier a couple weeks later after I saved up from the newspaper route and to date, not a single infraction. No wrecks (my fault or otherwise) and I had a handful of cross-country trips behind me long before my 21st birthday.
I don't even drink, yet you guys are coming down on me like I'm some horrible crackfiend when in fact-- I'm not.
I used to love driving exclusively at night because I always figured truckers were the kind, courteous and professional type. Not these judgmental buffoons that've dropped their loads on me.
All I wanted was a simple yes or no as to whether having recently stopped all usage of legal (or otherwise) drugs and passing an at-home test would make me relatively safe as far as meeting the DOT's test.
Anyone that answered nonasshattedly, thank you for the response, those that didn't.. well flame on.

Edit:
PChase, rather liked the pintos comment.
Seebs, seeing as you went through the school perhaps you could enlighten me as to what method of testing they perform? I'm under the impression it's a urinalysis, but I could be wrong.
Also, since it bares mentioning, I also did my time with the 173rd, I enlisted in 2003 and was out in 2008, 'chute didn't deploy, popped reserve at about 500 feet, landed hard-enough I folded both knees backwards (feet at crotch) and received an honorable on my 214.. So please, to anyone who gives this thread another look, please don't associate me with a typical pothead. While I may have partaken on a few occasions, I am by no means a regular and/or abuser.Last edited: Sep 25, 2014

Go read post no. 4 again. I'd give it at least 3 months, but 6 would be better. You can't be using at all, and be a professional driver.
misternad Thanks this. -
I did, and thank you. I have no intention of failing or screwing up a career opportunity which is why I took the time to ask a legitimate question. I've already passed two at-home tests (and the boxes' claim to be the most sensitive tests on the market.. which I doubt) I just want to make sure and hear some honest-to-God advice on the matter and Prime's own policy on the matter.
I have not used recently and I intend on never using again. Being behind the wheel is enough of a task, I dare not make it even more difficult or endanger any lives.
Edit:
I think I'll out-of-pocket an all-encompassing drug test at the local clinic to be on the safe side. I want to be absolutely sure the crap's out of me before I even consider moving forward with what I consider to be the next 20 years of my life.Last edited: Sep 25, 2014

By chance, did anyone know what kind of testing they perform?
