I'll see your driving lamp, and raise, err... lower... you a fog lamp.
Powder Joints Thanks this. -
drivers over the cb reference them as f-g lights. fill in the blank.anyway,i have always thought of them as the slow truck's chicken lights until real chicken lights started to show up on slow trucks.
i now do not run chicken lights as they are the norm and i don't drive slow trucks.62 mph company trucks have chicken lights on them nowadays.
what was the original question? not one as the OP made a declarative statement. thanks. -
Simply put they just don't how to use auxiliary driving lights
-
Simply put most dont know the difference.
My Purlux's are Highway/Road Lamps and the relay the way I installed them will only allow them to operate with the high beams. My Cibie's are amber fog lamps, amd are wired into the low beam circuit so they cannot operate with anything except parking or lowbeam.
If the are on its because of a visibility problem such as fog, dust. they are also adjusted to hit the ground 18" in front of the truck. I still wont use them in certain situations like 2 lanes with on coming traffic.
Drivers need to learn courtesy toward each other.
If your aux lght cause a problem for other drivers turn them off.LGarrison, semi retired semi driver and Mooose Thank this. -
