So I have taken the week off to go see my bro graduate from Marine boot. Going from Graham ,tx to San Diego CA. go figure I wind up being the one to drive all the way there lol. I've been there plenty in a truck but never in a personal vehicle can you bring in produce for personal consumption or not at all?

It's not like they are going to have a bomb sniffing dog check your car. They will ask if you have any produce. If you say yes, they ask from
where. If you say a reputable supermarket chain , that's good enough for them.ThatFlatbedGuy2013 and jbatmick Thank this. -
I bought a bag of mixed fruit in CA, went out of state, came back a day later, & had the bag sitting on my passenger seat. Didn't matter that I bought it in CA, they still took all the citrus.

All the times I have been to Cali in a truck, not once have I been asked if I have any produce in the truck. I do keep apples, oranges, and bananas on the truck with me.

Just say no, they won't check. (don't have it in plain sight). Also, when they say "where you coming from?" just say Havasu or Phoenix. DO NOT SAY, "I'm coming from Texas and I have ton's of apples grapefruit to munch on !Their job is to keep insects out.
