do LEO really enforce it? I see a ton of guys driving w.out a blue tooth , even using their elbows of the arm holding the cell to help turn the wheel while turning.
I thought it was a $2000 citation and the company gets cited also but wonder if anyone has received the citation.

Even with it being supposedly ENFORCED you still see a lot of drivers talking on their NON HANDS FREE CELL PHONES with no effort to hide the fact they are using it , in 4 wheelers as well as big trucks

Im talking about commercial vehicles, I agree they don't try to hide it and so I was curious if anyone knows if citations are actually handed out for violation

Had a truck come into my lane yesterday while passing in my car. My wife looked up and he was texting. See it all the time. Yes it is enforced but it is hard for a LEO to witness this before the culprit sees him and lowers the phone. One of our drivers got caught. Don't know the fine he had to pay as he got fired, but the CSA points were super high. Don't do it. That offense includes any accessing of the internet too. Better to not do it. Even a couple seconds with your eyes off the road can get you or someone else very dead.

It really doesnt matter to me whether it is inforced or not.. it is a reckless unprofessional behavior. ..

I ride a motorcycle as well.. and can not tell you my total disdain for drivers of any vehicle talking on or texting while driving.... on a beautiful day during a wonderful ride I lost a good friend... because the of a driver talking on their cell phone... Fortunately he was killed instantly as he was dead by the time we got to him...

Seeing the truck hit him plays in my mind in slow motion and is something I can not erase from my memory, nor the condition of his mangled and lifeless body when we went to check on him...

What does it matter if it is inforced or not... you can live and deal with any ticket you get... but can you live with having killed someone. .

im sorry for your loss. Its not something I do. when and if I have conversations on my Bluetooth , theyre brief. I agree that it should aggressively be targeted.

From observation, the truck drivers have decreased hand held usage, the 4 wheelers increased.

Easily 40% of cars I see have cell phone in hand, texting or talking.
