"not recognized" does not mean fake. All DOT physicals must be done by a person certified to give physicals by the feds, the FMCSA. I say "person" because they do not necessarily have to be an MD to give a physical. To find one near you go to: https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov/NRPublicUI/home.seam. Enter you zip code and you will get a list, hopefully, near you.
