Are glider kits with 12.7 sixty series Detroits exempt till 12/31/14?

isn't there a 1 trip per year permit? or did cali do away with that?

 

Is California even enforcing any of that. Not judging by the trucks I've seen in California lately.

 

I did read that the December exception is only if you apply for a dpf and get denied. You have to show proof that you tried to get the filter and got denied.

 

They would need a literal army of CARB cops to stop all the older trucks I've seen on the road out there. Not to pick on bull haulers but I don't think I've seen one truck pulling a bull wagon going up Donner this year that wasn't blowing out black smoke like an old freight train. I was jealous!

 

That black smoke is just unburned fuel. They are literally blowing money out the stacks.

Plus it looks stupid.

 

I'd rather smell that then the caustic white #$%^ that blows out of these new trucks, you can't tell me breathing that stuff is safe.....
