Well first off,I didn't know where to write this,I felt this was the best place.
Ok let's go. School, for trucking,is usually in the 4 k range, they teach you alot about driving ,and it's better on a resume. Especially if you score high on the DMV test.
Get those endorsements while they fresh in your mind, before driving test!!(Texas)
Backgrounds, get em expunged. I see alot of post about dui's,felonies etc from years past. You can either get them expunged via lawyer(especially if it was dismissed) or yourself.
I have had a false accusation of aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon(Hey people lie,I forgive as god does) .It's usually a 3 year period from charge to get that expunged(at least in texas) .Do your research.
The dac report. I got a free dac report from hireright, did not show anything. Why? I did not have a driving job history.
No file found. Background companies get all the info from local, state, and ferderal courts. If it is not on those courts, most likely it won't show on any third party company reports.Understand now, background agencies are third party companies.OK what else.
Tickets!! I had a ticket from '08 for not stopping at a stop sign in an accident(I did stop ,other driver lied, some luck huh?)
Hired a lawyer from that area(happened in MO,I moved back to TX,at time of incident, held a MO license) got it all cleared, including from the MO vehicle report and National Driver registry. It is called a letter of clearance. Cleared out completly.Verified via written request to both MO DMV and National Driver registry.
Tickets again: Only guilty tickets will show on MVR,not dismissals ,warnings. And only to that state in which you hold a drivers license. Example ,TX license speeding in MO,shows on Texas MVR not MO.
    MO= Missouri.
Texas Dmv abides by the National Driver registry, who MO sumbmitted after not arriving in court etc for not stopping. Most states are the same .
Tickets again:Get an attorney. Got a ticket for 35 on a 25,paid 50 bucks to an attorney, took a while, but got it dismissed, never showed on MVR,and I never made any court appearences.
Fracking sucks. Barely any drive time, but they gave me a job with a year off of working and no experience. Any questions ,ask me.I am the type who does a ton of research, granted I do not have trucking experience, but life. Take care.If there are any mispellings, sorry,I have cook dinner soon and am in a hurry.
Forgot to add, usually companies do 7 or 10 yr background checks. As far as job history,if they subscribe to a service from the Social security adminstration(it's costly) that's when they will know what jobs you have had or not.If it shows on SS,and they have that service, theyll know you didnt mention a job.Usually though,as companies are getting cheaper, they probaly wont have that service. OK any questions, feel free to ask.

GEE Boss! Did you research the fact that the oilfield crash is coming after Jan 1. Happened in the 1980s and will again. Better go find a good job. I was in on the 1980s one and it wasn't pretty.

People who forget history are condemned to repeat it.

I know it.It won't last just like the 80s,even though everyone is optimistic that it will. Gonna do down soon im sure. But hey,it's experience and 7k a month. Cant complain as much as I would like to. Job sucks though, that's for sure.

"Backgrounds, get em expunged. I see alot of post about dui's,felonies etc from years past. You can either get them expunged via lawyer(especially if it was dismissed) or yourself."

This still shows up in a good background check, doesn't matter what happens to it by a judge. Once it is in the system, it is in the system and can be found. I for one think there is only a couple reasons why it should be allowed.

AND I don't get the high score on the DMV test, all the tests I ever take is pass or fail, no scoring is ever recorded.

A good background check? You dont even know how they are performed and you go and state false words? What is it with people now days? Post some helpful words, and you always get some guy thinking he's more knowledgeable than the next. I swear man, people now days. Two post so far looking for a #### debate .This is for the people who have had questions regarding the subjects I had mentioned, not someone who wants to throw false words around.
This happened to me on another thread where I posted a how-to,about 90 of the post were people who have never done the work stated I was wrong. It's pathetic.

I'm sorry but I think your advice is completely not trustworthy. A person with so many tickets should sit back and study the drivers that don't. Or is it the fault of others?

I know what it is, I have had it done on each driver that applied for open positions and it shows everything. it is not the internet background checks but done by a company with a report. I've rejected a bunch of drivers because of their past that they didn't disclose.

    Post helpful words?

ok here is some - people in some business' today don't turn over expensive equipment to people who can't be trusted. No matter what you've done in your life, giving a false sense of security about hiding your past is not a good thing and always comes out at one point or another. Background checks when done right and by the right people disclose things that you've done if it has gone through the courts or even in in some cases just being ticketed. Once the record is created, it is hard to make it go away no matter what judge expunges.

    So many tickets,funny.
It's ok,alot of people don't trust me about alot of things, turns out they could not comprehend what I was explaining to them.Im done replying to debate inducing replies though, anyone else who needs advice or has questions I will surely try to answer .I just posted this thread to help out people since I have been through this thing called life with badluck as many others have it seems, not to argue with "experienced people" over tickets and backgrounds.

A lot of stuff depends on the state. A judge here will usually expunge a first offense dui. That takes care of criminal record. The DMV on the other hand doesn't care though and will still list the license suspension on the MVR.
