Anybody else care to try to help? I have called and I have kept calling just so we didn't get forgotten about on this. KY legislators are in session right now so now is the time to call.

Well my representative backed out due other carriers in my area actually supporting it! But also I found out you can take the class for free online so that's not too bad. IF it stays that way

KMTA was charging $100 for online courses. KYTC is still saying KMTA is the only approved provider and they have withdrawn their online courses. Who did you find giving online courses?

Sorry I got it backwards, in person will be free and online is $100. And I spoke to KMTA and they are still preparing the online test. Also said don't bother with it until right before your 2016 registration. Said they won't be enforcing it for 2015

Well, persistence might pay off. There is a bill sponsored in the KY Senate to repeal SB 96. It is SB 138. As of today, we have 5 sponsors of the bill - 4 Republicans and 1 Democrat. I am still calling and pushing and hopefully I can aggravate them enough to get somewhere with this.

AND...... we have a house representative who is going to sponsor a bill for repeal in the house......

Hey Terry ---- good news - the main sponsor of the senate bill to repeal SB 96 is Senator David Givens and he represents Barren County.

    Terry270 Thanks this.

SB 96 was repealed by the senate, sent to the house and the bill to repeal it was passed today.

Never give up on something or let others talk you into giving up in something you believe in.

Yup I had just heard. I'm still in shock that a few phone conversations actually accomplished something!
