The other thread is closed, so if anybody needs to know, there are many type of headsets: in ear, on ear, around ear. The last two are available in Open Backs (you can hear what's going on around you and people around you can here what kind of music you are listening), Closed Backs: You are separated from the noise around you and the Hi-end third type - Active noise canceling or admitting. One of the companies that are making the third type is Sennheiser (Made in Germany) cost about $350. They are designed for Long Flights and you can communicate with the stewardess without taking them off, because the headset has two hidden microphones mounted on the outside of each speaker enclosure and you can activate them to listen what is going around you while you listening to your music. If somebody calls you in the same time, the music stops automatically and you carry on your phone call.

The third type is not designed for Truck drivers, but works as good.
